A Mexican Navy training ship with nearly 300 people crashed into the Brooklyn Bridge on Saturday night.
The ship, named Cuauhtémoc, hit the underside of the bridge around 8:30 p.m. Its tall masts couldn’t clear the bridge.
The ship carried 277 people. 3 are in critical condition and 17 others were seriously injured, officials said.

The ship lurched but stayed upright. Fire and police officials rushed to the scene. Everyone on board was accounted for
The ship is a 300-foot-long steel training vessel from Mexico’s Heroic Naval Military School. It launched in 1982.
